With regard to our French fries, any customer in the U.S. who contacts McDonald’s USA to ask if they contain beef flavoring is told “yes.” For flavor enhancement, in the U.S., McDonald’s French fry suppliers use a very small amount of beef flavor as a natural flavoring during the par-frying process at the potato processing plant. In the restaurant, the French fries are cooked in vegetable oil.
In addition, we have no plans to change the way we prepare our French fries in the U.S. However, it is important to know that our French fries are prepared differently in other countries.

In 2012 I had the chance to re-brand Istanbul Fashion Week. Although I have to say I was not pleased with how it turned out later on when we left the project. Today we had a meeting with IMG and guess what? I’m back to working on Istanbul Fahsion Week with the sponsorship of Mercedes Benz with IMG! This one is going to be huge, I can feel it in my bones. It will require clean, precise, edgy, raw and luxurious brainstorming and procession.

The dates I’m supposed to work like a maniac are same as the vacation I planned with pepe.
Treasure map is a photo-graphic work from 2012, that I happened to stumble while cleaning my external disk.
Just like a pirate’s treasure, it tells the story of a girl’s hidden gems and secrets that she holds dear and buried. It starts with a single lie to her mother, for she is expected to play with barbie’s not guns, and forgoes till she buries her first girlfriend.

I spent half on of the day working on the Selfestate’s Valentine’s Day mailing. It embodies two gif areas; the main slider photo and the love is ‘all around!’ / ‘all you need’ script typographic headline. I think it turned out decent. Can’t publish the giffed version as the design had to be broke down for html against spam and everything. Still image will do just fine.
The other half of the day will be spent on my ‘b.i.g’ client. And then when comes nite the most exciting will be finishing off pepe and my application.

In case you hadn’t heard, McDonald’s was apparently sued in 2001 when it was discovered that the “natural flavor” in their french fries contained beef extract, after they’d been telling customers that the french fries were vegetarian. A class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of vegetarians and McDonald’s settled for $10 million, with $6 million going to vegetarian organizations.
Due to pepe, i find myself inclined to eavesdrop on subjects with keywords involving vegetarian glossary. Ela who is also a vegetarian, proposed that McDonalds no longer used animal extract - but the heartbreaking answer came from McDonalds when i looked it around the internet;

İnfografik aralarında istanbulda yolu boş bulmuş taksici gibi basan kelimelerden. Bir sollayıp bir sağlayan 34 plaka metinden.
Güzel bir iş yapıyorlar. Halkımın çok ihtiyacı olan elini yıka, obeziteden kaç, ev kadını olma mottolarını aşılıyorsun. Ama sonra bilgisayar başında o kamu spotunu yaparken geçirdiği saatlerden sıkılan ve okunuyor okunuyor diye geçen maaşından memnun olmayan grafik tasarımcının kurbanı oluyorsun. Ortaya mavili siyahlı abstract bir spot çıkıyor.
Her kelimenin puntosunun farklı, utanmasa farklı fontlara da dalıcak, papyrus ile başlayıp cümleyi brush script ile bitiricek. İmzayı ise Jokerman ile çakıcak.
Benden 2 cümle ya çıktı ya çıkmadı. En fazla kelimeyi yakalayıp full text çıkarana ödül var.

Middle of a work day so i couldnt sweeten the deal with a glass-scratch that- bottle of white wine..
My tummy is full, spirits high, may all days passes us by in the same fashion.
Many thanks to Selin who sent me an instagram of the sphere I had done at Adidas All Originals party. Made the outer sphere from asphalt representing the streets, and just went crazy with graffiti, lyrics and doodles in the inside.
